And that’s where, almost magically, I stumbled upon a name that would later define my work: Lucifer Vir Honestus, the first recorded goldsmith in Milan during the early Middle Ages. At that time, jewelry was not part of my life. I had never even considered it. But years later, when I unexpectedly discovered my ability to sculpt wax and create jewelry—almost by accident—I didn’t have to think twice about what to name my brand. It was never a question. The name had already found me. I saw it as a sign, a path illuminated before me, as if this ancient goldsmith had reached out through time to guide me toward my true calling. Lucifer, in this context, has nothing to do with its later dark connotations. Instead, it refers to the “Light Bearer”—the angel of light—leading the way. This story, to me, feels almost magical. It speaks of destiny, of hidden talents waiting to be discovered, and of a name that carries centuries of history yet remains vibrantly alive today.
